Mission
The mission of ACUPA STEM Prep Schools is
…to operate a small network of high performing schools, in a targeted area of Nigeria and in the USA
…and develop TK – 12th grade scholars into successful college graduates and professionals,
…through equal access and inspiration, rigorous curriculum, and a commitment to our core Values.

Vision
The vision of ACUPA is to create a kindergarten through college pipeline of individuals who will transform their community by closing the socio-economic, ethnic, and gender gaps in STEM fields, and serving as role models who exhibit scholarliness, advocacy, perseverance, and kindness.

Dear Parents, Students and Community,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone  to ourAMAZING school ACUPA. I look forward to partnering with our ACUPA families and school community to create a learning environment where we educate the total child so they are successful academically, emotionally and socially. We believe that every child  has the right to achieve every level of success regardless of physical challenges or  financial status. I have met with teachers, community members and the school’s leadership team and international board of Directors of AWEC to solicit input and feedback on how we will continue moving forward to provide ALL students with quality instruction in an effort to increase student achievement.  At ACUPA, our faculty and staff are supportive, dedicated and willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to differentiate instruction so that students reach their full potential.

My goals are: (1) To provide students with a safe, positive and academically challenging learning environment. (2) To build a strong partnership where students are provided support from home and school.  (3) To continue building a positive and welcoming environment where parents, administrators and teachers feel comfortable communicating successes and sharing concerns about students’ academic progress.

In order to achieve these tasks, it will take parents, administrators and teachers working together as a team.  This year, we will continue the theme: UNITY IN TEAMWORK:  One TEAM. One GOAL. MAKING A DIFFERENCE.

We ask that you support your child’s learning by:

1.  Ensuring that he/she attends school daily and are ready for the day’s learning experiences.

2. Communicating and visiting the school on a regular basis.

3.  Talking with your child daily about the high expectations you have for  him/her to succeed in school.

4.  Ensuring that your child reads nightly and writes a summary of what they  have read.

5. STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world. Our effort will be to make ACUPA one of the most progressive school in the country.

In closing, I am privileged to be a part of the ACUPA Community and am look forward to WORKING  with you.  If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Nnenna Alaukwu, Principal and Chief Administrator

Our philosophy is to honor Kwanzaa or New Yam Harvest. The celebration honors African heritage. We must promote unity,  self determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith.

Our History
IMG-20180914-WA0005.jpg

Our school is situated in an environment that is not very conducive for learning. However, our proposed new school will present children and their parents the opportunity to learn in a barrier free environment and with the necessary amenities to enhance learning.
